Godzilla vs Kong is directed by Adam Wingard and is, as you would imagine, a film in which Godzilla and Kong fight it out for my money in a mythical venue. They assume that Kong may be able to lead them to it, but Godzilla is out wreaking havoc and killing people, so people are perplexed. Godzilla has a reputation for balancing the scales of justice and doing the right thing.
So why does it appear that he's killing innocent people and of course eventually these two titans are gonna sort some out quick backstory that VHS king kong vs Godzilla was on repeat constantly when I was in elementary school it's a very cheesy movie admittedly especially if you watch the American version. But that little kid didn't give up; he loved it and watched it all the time, and that kid inside me wore a big cheesy grin for almost the whole film; I had a great time with Godzilla vs Kong.
It doesn't have any grand ambitions other than to entertain you with a series of epic battles between Godzilla and Kong, and it succeeds in doing so. That's what you want to see, and that's what's on the poster, and the movie delivers 100 percent of the time, particularly in the second half. It's almost nonstop Kong and Godzilla action, and it's a lot of fun. Now, one criticism that's been made about these latest Kong and Godzilla films, and I've definitely said, is that the human characters are kind of dull. Nevertheless, most people watch these films for the titans. we all know that, but it would be cool if you cared about the little ants running around on the ground. This film is very self-aware in that it just gives the human characters the bare minimum.
That his delusional rantings on the internet are actually reality was hilarious, but Julian Dennison, whom I adore and who is always on the lookout for the odder characters, is also there for comic relief, and those two characters are on a side quest with Millie Bobby Brown's character. And sometimes those two characters are on a side quest with Millie Bobby Brown's character, and sometimes those two characters are on and it feels like the movie ends while we're with them, but there's a concrete reason for them being in the movie, and the characters are entertaining.
Kong is taking them there, which was a brilliant move because instead of Kong only being an animal who sometimes tends to cause mayhem, he's an important part of the story that they need. As a result, we not only get to see more monsters, but they're much more important to the plot this time.
That was it; they had the necessary character development and the bare essentials, but the movies understood why you were watching them; they were self-aware; they didn't aspire to be these excessively pretentious human dramas. I miss going to the movies because you could just go and have a nice time, even though it was a disposable experience. It's almost as though the movie understands it's disposable and is perfectly content with that. Adam Wingard has a lot of fun with the battle scenes in the movie.
This film's visuals are simply stunning. I do believe there is one missed opportunity, however, that there is a section of the film where I really wish Godzilla and Kong battled because it would have been similar to the Godzilla and Kong fight in Inception. It seems to be a missed opportunity. The movie also has a close-up of Godzilla. When he's really kicking Kong's butt, I feel like some people won't know what to make of it. I thought it was really funny, and I laughed a lot, but some people might think it's out of character or something.
I just want to point out that Kyle Chandler has now appeared in two films with Kong, both of which are entirely different from one another. He was in Peter Jackson's King Kong and now this, which is weird but cool. Good for him man, he's out there making money.I don't really care about it, but there's one aspect of the movie that I think they completely nailed; there's a young girl in the movie who is able to connect with Kong, and she was the heart and soul of the film, and she produced some surprisingly touching moments.
